• Do I need to paint the bottom of the DockyDock?No, you do not need to paint or apply antifouling to the bottom of the DockyDock.The DockyDock acts as a protective shield for your boat, preventing marine growth on the hull.Over time, barnacles may grow on the underside of the DockyDock, but the frequency of cleaning will depend on your mooring location:
  • If your mooring area has aggressive barnacle growth, we recommend cleaning the DockyDock once every 12 months.
  • If your area has minimal growth, cleaning once every 3 years may be sufficient.
  A power jet wash is usually enough to remove any buildup.
• Does algae and barnacles grow on the bottom of DockyDock?
  Yes, barnacles will grow on the DockyDock’s bottom over time. However, a power jet wash every five years is enough to clean it.
• Is the DockyDock treated with chemicals or anti-fouling?
  No, DockyDock is not treated with any toxic chemicals. It is an eco-friendly product and does not harm the marine environment.
• Do I need to pump out the water from DockyDock?
  Pumping water out is optional. The DockyDock protects your boat hull whether there is water inside or not. However, removing the water can help prolong the life of boat anodes. Rainwater may accumulate but does not harm the boat.
• If there is water inside the DockyDock, will barnacles grow on the boat hull?
  No. As long as the DockyDock is closed and encapsulating the boat, barnacles will not grow. The lack of water flow and oxygen prevents barnacle growth.
• How do I use my air conditioning unit with the boat inside the DockyDock?
  Air conditioning will work as long as there is water inside the DockyDock. Feedback from customers indicates no issues using A/C.
• How long does the DockyDock last?
  DockyDock can last over 30 years with proper care and maintenance. It has no electrical or mechanical parts, making it trouble-free apart from potential accidental damage, which can be easily repaired.
• When should I clean the bottom of the DockyDock?
  Cleaning every five years is recommended, but it depends on preference. A jet/power wash is sufficient.
• Is it difficult to assemble and disassemble the DockyDock?
  Assembly and disassembly take approximately 60 minutes, depending on the DockyDock size.
• Can I use a flushing toilet with the DockyDock installed?
  Yes, if you have a holding tank. If flushing without a holding tank, you must lower the DockyDock tailgate to allow water circulation.

  The DockyDock is tied to the boat, which is then secured to the jetty.

• How does the DockyDock stay afloat?
  It contains foam to aid flotation, with no air inflation required.
• How does the DockyDock stay open when I want to dock my boat?
  The tailgate remains lowered until you manually lift and close it.
